Association of Women Surgeons - Cadaver Clinic Part 1

This two-part cadaver dissection clinic will provide students with hands-on experience developing foundational dissection and surgical skills. Part I, held in the fall, will be led by an anatomy professor and will focus on the proper use of anatomical and surgical instruments for careful, precise dissection. Students will begin with a brief presentation reviewing the layers of the skin, tissue planes, and principles of dissection before applying these concepts within a designated 2 × 2-inch area of a cadaver. Part II of the clinic will take place in the spring and will build upon these foundational skills through a surgeon-led session, allowing students to further develop their surgical technique and understanding of operative anatomy. This is a registered student organization at Ohio University. This event is student‑led and not University‑sponsored.
