OB/GYN - IUD Clinic

IUD Institute didactic presentation which reviews Mirena/Kyleena/Skyla IUD properties, indications for use, contraindications/special considerations, contraceptive efficacy, insertion timing, insertion pain, bleeding patterns, uterine perforation & device expulsion and adverse reactions Followed by an explanation of the reloadable practice inserter and purple uterine disc & demo of our online E-simulator. Lastly, there will be Insertion & removal practice with the tabletop insertion model, which includes use of the tenaculum and uterine sound. Extra single use IUDs can be provided to practice thread trimming. This is a registered student organization at Ohio University. This event is student‑led and not University‑sponsored.
