Whether you want to avoid parking fees, put fewer miles on your vehicle, find a carpool partner or simply determine whether transit could work for your commute, stop by Try Transit for personalized guidance and resources. The event grew from a Staff Advisory Council discussion about rising parking rates and will feature: Regional transit representatives: Speak with GCRTA, Laketran, Akron METRO and NOACA about commuting routes and free Park-and-Ride options. Free transit passes: Pick up complimentary passes to try select transit services. Carpool and route support: Get hands-on help using GOhio Commute for carpool, vanpool and bikepool matching, and learn about Commuter Advantage programs. Peer advice: Talk with CWRU staff members who currently commute using GCRTA and Akron METRO. Extras: Pick up bike and e-bike route guides and free swag.
