Red Cross Blood Drive The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County is hosting the Red Cross for a Blood Drive Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. To 3:00 p.m. In the Multipurpose Room. The American Red Cross has issued an EMERGENCY NEED appeal for all blood types, so we are really hoping for a great turnout to help rebuild our supply coming into the fall. As a special BONUS, all donors will receive a Hello Kitty collectible gift for donating. Why donate? Your blood donation can help save up to three lives and support patients in hospitals across the country. Every donation can make a significant impact, and your participation helps ensure that blood is available for those who need it most.
