Kent Free Library Enjoy a free, all-ages concert by Cardinal Quartet, an emerging string quartet based in Northeast Ohio. The group consists of violinists Alvaro Molina and Claire Laux, violist Gerson Parra, and cellist Johan Rojas. All are current or former students in the Glauser School of Music at Kent State University. They began playing together in November of 2025 and felt an immediate connection. The group began rehearsing together regularly and receiving occasional coachings from Hannah Moses, Professor of cello and member of the Callisto Quartet. Through a shared passion for chamber music, the group hopes to continue learning together and sharing their musical interpretations and enthusiasm for the art. The Cardinal Quartet just finished serving as the fellowship quartet for the Hudson Montessori Advanced Chamber Program July, where they engaged in daily rehearsals and coaching from the Callisto Quartet, and served as coaches to the students in the Chamber Intensive Program. The Concert Series is held on the 2nd Floor Balcony. No registration is required. All ages are welcome.
