"The World We Make Together: Rethinking Global Leadership", with Richard Kraince, Director of the Global Leadership Center. What kind of leadership do Ohio University students, faculty, and staff practice in an increasingly interdependent world challenged by uncertainty, conflict, and rapid change? "The World We Make Together: Rethinking Global Leadership" explores how engagement across languages, cultures, disciplines, and communities can prepare us not just to better understand the world, but to participate in shaping it. Drawing on current trends in international education and lessons learned through community engagement, the talk considers global leadership as a practice grounded in relationships, curiosity, collaboration with people from across the globe. Richard Kraince, Ph.D. Directs the Global Leadership Center in the School of International Studies & Languages and serves as the Global Engagement Coordinator for the Cutler Scholars Program in the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University. A scholar of higher education, he examines how social, religious, and environmental movements impact higher education and influence social change internationally. Prof. Kraince spent much of his career helping to reestablish one of North America's great liberal arts institutions: Antioch College.
