Animals We Love to Hate

Marion Public Library This program features the animals that are most often feared and disliked: bats, spiders, snakes, and opossums. We will dispel myths and include natural history facts that show how beneficial these animals are. Live animals will be attending.This 1.5hr course led by:Ohio Nature Education, a private non-profit volunteer organization that provides a home for over fifty wild animals that can no longer live in the wild. They incorporate these animals into environmental education programs for people of all ages. Our presenter, Manon VanSchoyck, is the Founder & Executive Director of Ohio Nature Education. Manon has worked in the field of environmental education for more than 30 years and is passionate about educating people on how we can positively affect wildlife. She is an avid birdwatcher and also enjoys gardening and cooking.
