Star Gazing Night at Observatory Park!

Join the Wilderness Society for a night under the stars at Observatory Park Friday, October 10! We'll be heading about an hour off campus to get away from the city lights and hopefully catch some great views of the night sky. We will be leave campus at 9:00pm and return by no later than 1:00 AM We need drivers!!! If you volunteer to drive other people, we will reimburse you for gas, and you'll have a better chance at being able to join us since the number of cars dictates the number of people that can come on the hike. All non-drivers will automatically be on a waitlist since there's not a set number of people that can come. Promotions from the waitlist will go out a few days before Friday night. We will have snacks at the park, but feel free to bring some of your own too along with anything else that will make your night of stargazing more comfortable and fun like blankets or sleeping bags, camp chairs, binoculars or a telescope if you have one, a phone with a stargazing/constellation app, a red-light flashlight or headlamp, a warm drink in a thermos, a camera for some nighttime photography, or some cards or a small game for hanging out Be sure to bring warm layers!!!
