Come explore 3D Printing with the Bambu Lab X2D! Make a small 3D printed object in PLA while learning the complete workflow from simple design creation to a finished print. In this hands-on workshop, you'll be guided by one of our Student Technicians through the fundamentals of 3D modeling, preparing a model for printing, and setting up and operating the Bambu Lab X2D. Along the way, you'll learn best practices for designing parts that print successfully and gain the confidence to begin your own projects. You will learn: The capabilities and limitations of the Bambu Lab X2D 3D printers. An introduction to Tinkercad, with a focus on designing for successful 3D printing. How to prepare a model in Bambu Studio, including orienting your part, selecting print settings, and slicing your file. Sears think[box]'s process for purchasing filament and submitting print jobs. How to set up and start a print on the Bambu Lab X2D. What to watch for during a print, along with tips for avoiding and troubleshooting common printing issues. Important Notes All participants will complete an instructor-led project. If your goal is to print a personal project, this workshop will provide the skills needed to do so but will not include time to complete personal prints during the session.
