The Frances M. Franklin Academic Alliance (FMFAA) is collecting new, unworn socks, gloves and hats for children and adults in need. All items will be donated to the Pantry and Care Lockers at BUC. Please deliver donations to the nearest collection box, Oct. 5 - Nov. 6. History: Franklin Academic Alliance Socktober Drive: A Tradition of Student-Led Compassion and Community Impact Several years ago, a group of dedicated students at Tri-C's Metropolitan Campus recognized a growing need among their peers. Through personal experience and conversations with fellow students, they discovered that many individuals were struggling to afford basic winter necessities such as warm socks, hats, gloves, and other essential items. Inspired to make a difference, these students launched the Franklin Academic Alliance Socktober Drive, transforming a simple act of giving into a tradition of compassion and community support.
