Join the DHM Therapeutic Agriculture & Vocational Chapter for a morning of hands-on environmental stewardship at Hauck Botanic Garden! We are partnering with the Civic Garden Center to help maintain their 100-year-old public park, which serves as an outdoor classroom and a vital space for nature-based wellness in our community. As part of our therapeutic agriculture initiative, volunteers will work directly with CGC Horticulturists to clear weeds, manage greenspaces, and prep the grounds for the upcoming Fall Native Plant Festival. This is a great opportunity to earn service hours, get outside, and experience the mental health benefits of hands-on community gardening. What to Know: Time: Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Location: Hauck Botanic Garden (2715 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45206). What to Bring: A water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them. All other tools and materials are provided by the Civic Garden Center. We can also provide gardening gloves for you. What to Wear: Closed-toe shoes and clothes you are comfortable getting dirty. No prior gardening experience is necessary. Whether you have a green thumb or are totally new to horticulture, this workday is for you. The ability to kneel and use hand tools is recommended but not required. Hosted by: DHM Therapeutic Agriculture & Vocational Chapter Additional Information can be found at:
