Brad Schwieger & Chuck McWeeney Exhibition

A reception is scheduled for Thursday August 27, 5-7pm. This pair of exhibitions runs concurrently in the galleries in the RTECH building, celebrating the ceramics work of two recently retired professors from the School of Art + Design, on view from August 24 through October 23, 2026. Charles McWeeny was a professor of art in ceramics and foundations for more than 40 years. Additionally, from 2000-2012 he was the Associate Dean then Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Ohio University. He began early retirement in 2014 and continued to teach one semester a year until 2026 when he retired fully. Brad Schwieger has been teaching at Ohio University since 1990 and is presently a Professor Emeritus of Art. Prior to that he was an Associate Professor at Vincennes University in Indiana (1985-1990). Brad received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Utah State University in 1983 and his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1981.
