Camp Tuscazoar Historic Hikes and Pig Roast
Dates: Sep. 12 & Sep. 19 Time 12 Noon - 2:30 PM Explore Camp Tuscazoar's outdoor heritage during guided hikes led by the Camp Tuscazoar Foundation. Visitors may choose between an easy 45-minute walking tour of Main Camp or a more advanced two-hour hike featuring Pioneer Point, the railway tunnel, historic railroad grade, and the Zoarville Station Bridge, which is listed in the Ohio Historic Bridge Inventory. These hikes offer a closer look at the camp's landscape, transportation history, and long-standing connection to outdoor recreation and scouting. This free event is open to families, history enthusiasts, hikers, scouts, and anyone interested in Ohio's cultural and natural heritage. Additional Considerations: Visitors should be prepared for natural terrain, uneven surfaces, and elevation changes, especially on the advanced hike. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
