Books in Their Hands: Jane Addams Peace Association

Dayton Metro Library welcomes award-winning illustrator Rafael López to host Books in Their Hands: Jane Addams Peace Association on Thursday, September 24, 6-7 pm, in the Main Library's Eichelberger Forum. He will discuss his work, The Day You Begin, written by Jacqueline Woodson, which received the Jane Addams Children's Book Award. López is an internationally recognized illustrator and artist whose work brings diverse characters to books. He creates and promotes books that reflect and honor the lives of all young people. All ages are invited to attend, but the presentation is geared toward children and requires registration. Books in Their Hands is also part of DML's National Hispanic Heritage Month programming.
