Aligning Purpose: How Universal Design for Learning Principles Support Digital Accessibility Efforts

Adopting workflows and course design procedures that integrate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) makes for a better student learning experience. This interactive workshop will ask participants to explore the background and principles of UDL to make actionable changes that will enhance digital learning environments. We invite participants to probe into the purpose of UDL and align your purpose with practice. By participating in this session, you will be able to: Identify the purpose of Universal Design for Learning through the exploration of its origins and implications in digital learning environments. Explore easily adoptable teaching and technology strategies that align with UDL principles. Reflect on how to align intentionality with accessible course design.
