She writes earworm melodies with thoughtful storytelling, exploring themes of love, self-discovery, and personal growth. In 2015, Shelby faced a life-changing vocal cord surgery. She turned to songwriting as a means of healing and made music to get her through. Shelby writes music to help people feel less alone-- whatever they're going through. There is strength in being vulnerable and being human. By day, she's a public school music teacher; by night, she channels her "inner popstar"...very Hannah Montana.
