History Restored Tour

Experience aviation history when B-29 DOC and P-51 Gunfighter visit Cincinnati's Lunken Airport Sept. 2-7 as part of Lunken Airport Days. Hosted by Cincinnati Warbirds - EAA Squadron 18, the event gives you the opportunity to tour B-29 DOC, one of only two airworthy B-29 Superfortresses in the world, and get an up-close look at the P-51 Mustang Gunfighter. Explore DOC's cockpit, bomb bay and crew compartments while learning about its World War II history from knowledgeable guides. You can also see the rare P-51 Gunfighter, take photos with both historic aircraft and meet the volunteers who keep these warbirds flying. Free ramp access is available, plus cockpit tours and ride experiences aboard both historic aircraft are also offered for a fee.
