First-Generation Week Celebration
Join us as we celebrate the achievements and efforts of our first-generation students. This event is held in honor of National First-Generation Day on Nov. 8 and recognizes the hard work, resilience, and success of students blazing their own paths. Let's Taco 'Bout First-Gen: hang out with other First-Generation students, listen to other stories, enjoy food, grab photos, and meet new people. What is a First-Generation Student? At BGSU, students are considered first-generation if their parent(s) have not earned a Bachelor's Degree. Why Attend? Connect with fellow first-generation students, enjoy refreshments, and participate in a community that celebrates your accomplishments. This is a chance to be recognized, feel supported, and share your story with the BGSU community. Celebrate at other events throughout the week! Nov. 4 | LinkedIn & Personal Branding Workshop - First-Gen Is My Superpower! Nov. 5 | Graduate School Turntables - First-Gen, What's Next?
