Ohio Bat Fest

Mark your calendars for the fifth annual Ohio Bat Fest at Maple Ridge Lodge, a celebration of Ohio's amazing bats! Discover how researchers capture bats using mist nets and harp traps, track them with drones, and use specialized field equipment. Meet a live bat, explore Ohio's native bat species, visit the pollinator education booth and discover underground cave systems with the Cincinnati Grotto. Enjoy bat-themed arts and crafts, photo opportunities, trivia games, an expanded Kids' Bat Cave and hands-on native seed ball making. Costumes are strongly encouraged, so come dressed for some spooky-season fun! Plus, don't miss a special presentation on moon gardens. Bring family and friends for an afternoon of hands-on learning, discovery and bat appreciation.
