Best Practices for Education Majors

Please join us for an event specifically for you as you prepare to graduate and enter the education field. The event will include a panel of educators and administrators discussing job search strategies in education, mock interviews and networking opportunities. The event will be held in the Jean Hower Taber Student Union, room 335, beginning at 4:00pm. Check in begins at 3:45pm. The event will begin at 4:00pm, with networking and the first round of mock interviews beginning at 4:30pm. The mock interviews are opportunities for you to practice interviewing with an educator or administrator before you have an actual job interview. A panel with local educators and administrators will begin following the mock interview sessions on their hiring practices and recommendations for applying for education positions. There will a be a Q&A during the panel session. Pizza and brownies will be available at the event. Please register for the event to assist with planning for food and other aspects of the event. You are encouraged to bring a few copies of your resume with you to the networking and mock interviews.
