Join us for lunch after the City of Centerville's Veterans Day Program at Stubbs Memorial Park (11 AM) and a special program honoring Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting, healing Quilts of Valor. One Nation. One Mission. A Quilt of Valor is a quality, handmade quilt, machine- or hand-quilted. It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran touched by war. The Quilt says unequivocally, "Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation." The Service Members and Veterans receiving the Quilts of Valor have already been selected. The program is free, but those interested in attending the lunch and ceremony must register. This program will be held in the Centerville Library Community Room. The Miami Valley Quilters' Guild is a diverse group with many interests and skill levels. Its members include quilters, quilt collectors, quilt designers, quilting teachers, and those simply interested in the art, craft, and history of quilting. They host national and regional speakers, workshops, and skill hops during their monthly meetings.
