NIA: Holistic Fitness Practice Fall Series
Program Description: Step into a joyful, body-centered movement experience with Nia Blue Belt Instructor Christopher Lee Jansen. Nia (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) is a holistic fitness practice that blends Dance, Martial Arts, and Healing Arts into an empowering workout for the body, mind, and spirit. In this series, you will explore "The Body's Way" - a philosophy of moving with awareness, sensation, and pleasure rather than force. Christopher provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where you can move authentically at your own pace. Each session offers a balance of mindful choreography and playful exploration, designed to improve your flexibility, agility, and strength. Schedule: • Wednesdays | Sept. 23- Nov. 18 • 6:00 - 7:00 pm • No class Oct. 14 Fee: • $112 for 8 week series Location: • Philip Heit Center (150 W. Main St. New Albany, OH) • Classroom on the first floor About the Instructors: Christopher Jansen has been teaching Tai Chi, dance, and other movement modalities for 26 years. Having started teaching High Impact Aerobics and Step at sixteen years old, Christopher has branched out to not only offer Tai Chi, but also Yoga, various dance styles, and water fitness classes. After delving into the world of Ballroom Dance, Christopher opened a dance studio in downtown Milwaukee, WI, and although dance has been Christopher's lifelong passion, he realizes the importance of the more gentle and subtle movement modalities, such as Yoga and Tai Chi.
