Youngstown Past and Present - First Fridays Youngstown

The Library will join November's First Fridays Youngstown celebration featuring "Somewhere in Time: Images of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley." Author and historian Sean Posey will present a curated slideshow of rare photographs capturing the people, places, and history of the Valley. Take a step back in time and capture glimpses of life from the era's industrial heyday. After the presentation, stay for an introduction to our Digital Archive, and learn how you can contribute to our Share your Story and Picturing the Past projects. We'll also have activities for kids in our Family Engagement Area. From 5 to 6:30 p.m., stop by the Culinary Literacy Center for an open house featuring our hydroponic gardens and a treat inspired by Youngstown's history. Treats will be available while supplies last.
