Ritter Planetarium October Programming

The University of Toledo's Ritter Planetarium will screen a seasonal favorite in October. "Spooky Space" explores cosmic connections to Halloween, comparing outer space phenomena like black holes and nebulae to characters like vampires and ghosts. "Spooky Space," recommended for viewers ages 6 and older, will screen at 1 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 31. Young viewers are invited to attend in costume on Halloween. Ritter Planetarium also will screen "5,000 Eyes: Mapping the Universe with DESI" in October, exploring recent discoveries from the U.S. Department of Energy's Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) installed on a telescope in Arizona. "5,000 Eyes" will screen at 7:30 p.m. Fridays through Oct. 30. Admission to all public programs is $8 for adults and $6 for children, seniors and UToledo community members. Children ages 3 and younger are free. Parking is free for visitors who register in advance online or submit their license plate information once inside the planetarium lobby.
