My Big Red Machine: The Tales, Drama, And Revelations Of A Fan Turned Journalist Covering Baseball's Greatest Team
To mark the end of the regular season, stop by the Main Library for a talk by award-winning veteran journalist Terence Moore , whose 2025 sport memoir provides a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the legendary 1970s Cincinnati Reds. Moore, hired by the Cincinnati Enquirer in 1978, was the first full-time African American sportswriter for a major metropolitan paper in the region, and one of only two in the country consistently covering baseball at the time. His memoir features brand-new revelations about legendary figures like Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, and manager Sparky Anderson.
