Dr. Shannon Conrey is a maternal and child environmental epidemiologist whose research investigates how maternal environmental, nutritional, and biological exposures influence infant health and development. Her work examines the intergenerational transfer of antibodies and environmental toxins through pregnancy and human milk, and how these exposures affect children's health. Her presentation will highlight emerging research on the earliest environmental influences on child well-being and their implications for improving lifelong health outcomes. Shannon Conrey, PhD, MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, a faculty member at the Swetland Center for Environmental Health, and an affiliate of the Schubert Center for Child Studies.
