What does it mean to feel that you belong in your adoptive family? Drawing on research with young adults who were adopted from the U.S. Foster care system, Nancy Rolock will explore adoptees' perspectives on family belonging, relationships, and well-being as they transition into adulthood. Professor Nancy Rolock, PhD (she/her), is the Henry L. Zucker Professor of Social Work Practice at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. She has conducted research focused on child welfare and adoption since 1996. Dr. Rolock is committed to using anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice, intervention research, and implementation science to support children and families impacted by the child welfare system. Her research seeks to uplift the well-being of children, youth, parents, and guardians. --- Event Details:
