James McGee-Moore makes all her own cosplays, utilizing upcycling and many different simple mediums. She wears them out at Power Rangers themed conventions. In this class learn some tips and tricks to making it look easy. With Halloween coming up, this may be just what you need to encourage taking on that complicated costume... And save a few dollars along the way." First of all I'd like to talk about "upcycling." Where you buy clothes (preferably used) that look like your desired final. Then you can build off them and save yourself a lot of sewing and materials money. Second, using paint to fake sewing is something I'm a big advocate for, because you don't need to spend money on a sewing machine and don't need to know how to use a pattern. And the third thing is building with hot glue and cardboard to create armor.
