The Black Poets Fest

The Black Poets Fest is a two-day indoor literary experience centering Black voices and strengthening community through poetry. The weekend brings together poets, creatives, curators, and vendors, from across the Midwest for performances, workshops, discussions, free youth programming, and intentional connection. Through our initiatives, we are creating meaningful change by providing opportunities and making history as the first nationally recognized festival bearing the name Black Poets Fest.
