Inspirations on Exhibit at The Arts Garage The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council's next exhibit at The Arts Garage (TAG) is sure to inspire nautical, floral and nature art lovers. The three artists - Gregory Ehmann, Nicolette Tolomeo Germain, and Susan Walker will be on-hand to preview their art at a reception, open to the public, on Friday, July 10 from 6-8 pm at TAG, 317 W. Perry St. in Port Clinton. Ehmann grew up in Point Place, Ohio near Toledo, and paints in acrylics. While serving in the Army from 1967-69, he painted murals and abstracts. His work is displayed in California, Ohio, Florida and Michigan, and he has many awards. Says Ehmann, "I'm excited about this exhibit. I haven't shown my work in quite a while." Many of his paintings represent unique locations around Marblehead and Catawba Island in Ottawa County. Germain's artistic journey began in the garment industry as a third-generation tailor with a passion for photography. A love for nature and the outdoors, Nicolette's photography features a variety of serene and natural images. Germain says, "I switched from film to digital many years ago however my photos still reflect reality, with minimal processing, as I see life, capturing fleeting moments unaltered by modern technology." Walker is a contemporary abstract artist known for vibrant, mixed‑media paintings that explore emotion, movement and joy.
