Community Action Poverty Training

Experience the realities of poverty through the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS), an interactive experience designed to help participants better understand the challenges faced by individuals and families living with limited resources. During the simulation, participants will take on the roles of members of families experiencing poverty and work to navigate everyday responsibilities such as employment, transportation, childcare, housing, food, healthcare, and other basic needs. This FREE community event is open to anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of poverty and the barriers faced by families in our community. The experience is designed to build awareness, empathy, and conversation about how we can better support our neighbors. The Community Action Poverty Simulation will be held Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 12:00-4:00 PM at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Road, Fremont, Ohio. Registration is required.
