Surgery and Sports Medicine - Emergency Preparedness in Professional Sports

Dr. William Knight, emergency medicine and neuro critical care physician at UC Health, will be sharing with us his experience caring for Damar Hamlin after he collapsed into cardiac arrest during an NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He will walk through the medical management from the moment he collapsed on the field with millions of fans watching to his hospital discharge. It will emphasize the need for emergency preparedness in sports across all levels of competition. This is a registered student organization at Ohio University. This event is student‑led and not University‑sponsored.
