Pottery and Pints Fall Fundraiser

At Yellow Springs Brewery's Barrel Room, this fall fundraiser supports John Bryan Community Pottery, a local nonprofit studio that has offered community access to ceramics since 1962. The event focuses on raising funds for the future rebuild of the studio's Cone 10 gas reduction kiln, Big Alice. The 40-cubic-foot gas kiln, built in 2017, has been fired more than 60 times. With an average kiln life of about 100 firings, the studio is preparing for a rebuild in the coming years. Attendees can explore silent auction offerings from a range of local businesses and shop donated handmade pottery, with a portion of bar sales contributing to the cause. The studio provides Cone 10 firing through classes and memberships and has saved $13,000 toward a $40,000 goal by 2028. Community support will help reach that target and bolster local arts education.
