Annual Member Celebration: Why Toledo? Stories of Choosing Our Community

Each November, the UToledo Family Business Center Annual Member Celebration gives us an opportunity to come together, look back on another year, and celebrate the people who make our family business community what it is. This year, we also want to celebrate the place so many of us have chosen to build our businesses, our families, and our lives. Why Toledo? Everyone has a different answer. Some have been here for generations. Some left and chose to come back. Others came for an opportunity and found reasons to stay. And many have made the decision, year after year, to continue investing in this community and its future. Throughout the night, we'll hear several of those stories, including from Pat Bowe, Chairman and former President and CEO of The Andersons, who came to our region to lead one of its most recognizable companies and has since become deeply involved in the Toledo community. Pat will share his own perspective on Why Toledo?, along with other local voices whose paths to choosing, returning to, and investing in our region look very different. The evening will also give us a chance to celebrate another year at the Family Business Center. We'll unveil our Annual Report, share some of the Center's accomplishments and impact, and present our beloved Skutchie Awards, recognizing the humor, heart, and spirit that define our membership. We'll also recognize our outgoing advisory board members and welcome those joining the board for the year ahead. Doors will open a
