Month at the BOO-seum! Practical Magic Weekend
Month at the BOO-seum! Every Saturday in October from 1:00-4:00 pm October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, & 31st Join us at the Sandusky History BOO-seum during the month of October where all month, we'll be featuring a unique selection of slightly macabre, but historically Victorian-period-accurate displays and artifacts from the museum collection. From hair wreaths, mourning outfits, funeral finds, and even a wooden headstone from Johnson's Island, you'll want to stop in to see a variety of oddities and educational exhibits. But the magic of the season doesn't end there because each weekend throughout the month, we'll have a spellbinding theme and an un-FROG-ettably fun scavenger hunt that ends with a TOAD-ally pond-erful prize! All free and open to the public. October 3rd - Celebrate all things Practical Magic, inspired by the original film and sequel. Enjoy an afternoon of Midnight Margarita mocktails, chocolate cake, and other charming and magical activities. October 10th - Create your own witchy tea concoctions that you can take home to steam in your own cauldron cup. October 17th - Discover the history and traditions of tarot card and palmistry through lighthearted demonstrations. October 24th - Learn more about Victorian spiritualism & take in a séance demonstration in one of our 19th-century parlor rooms. October 31st - Trick-or-Treat! We'll be handing out real candy, for kids of all ages. And we'll be having candy-making demonstrations as well.
