Spooky Writing Workshop with local author A. Alessandro Martinez

Champaign County Library Main Join local author S. Alessandro Martinez as he conducts a 2-hour workshop where students can learn to write their own short scary story. Instruction will include picking a theme, creating main characters, choosing the antagonist, basic story structure, talking about monsters and more. Attendees will go home with a copy of one of Alessandro's spooky middle grade books: Mori Quinn and the Coffin Game or The Witch of Tongues. This program is geared toward middle grade students, but older students are welcome to attend. Please register each student who wants to participate. Seating is limited.
