NAMIWalks Clark, Greene and Madison Counties
Now in its second year, NAMIWalks Clark, Greene and Madison Counties brings the community together to champion awareness, connection, and hope for people affected by mental health conditions. The walk emphasizes the goal of care that is accessible, compassionate, and free of stigma. It also draws attention to a difficult reality, many people wait about 11 years between the first signs of symptoms and receiving treatment. When a community shows up together, change becomes possible and that gap can narrow. Participation can take many forms, including walking, stopping by to connect, sharing the word with others, or donating. Every show of support strengthens the message that no one should face mental health challenges alone. The spirit of the event aligns with a movement for mental health for all, working toward a community where seeking support is encouraged, understood, and celebrated.
