Joni and Cindy's Excellent Clay Adventure! - A Six Week Clay Hand Building Course

Join us for "Joni and Cindy's Excellent Clay Adventure!" - a totally awesome 6-week course focused on clay hand-building, where you'll learn to create with just your hands and clay, without the need for a wheel. This course will teach you the three fundamental hand-building techniques: pinch, coil, and slab. Whether you're new to clay hand-building or have some prior experience, this course is designed to be fun and approachable. With expert instruction from Joni Hasselbach and Cindy Hillier, you'll receive guided, step-by-step lessons as you work on several impressive projects. Classes take place on Thursdays, specifically on August 20, 27, and September 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 5 to 7 pm. On August 20, participants will create torn clay vases. The class on August 27 will focus on crafting unique masks. On September 3, you'll embrace the holiday spirit by making either a clay Christmas tree or an angel. On September 10, participants will craft an ideal autumn pumpkin using terracotta clay. The final two classes on September 17 and 24 will concentrate on glazing techniques to complete the projects made during the course. This 6-week course costs $199 per person and is non-refundable; the price includes all projects, glazing, and two kiln firings. Registration closes on August 19. Guests are welcome to bring snacks and drinks; for those aged 21 and older, creativity enhancers such as wine are welcome.
