Dog Adoption Application - Tuscarawas County Humane Society On July 14, 2026, Tuscarawas County Humane Agent executed a search warrant at a property in Sandyville after receiving reports of deplorable living conditions and a large number of dogs living on the premises. Nothing could have prepared the staff and Humane Agent for what was found. The conditions inside the home were unimaginable, and every room seemed to reveal even more animals. Just when we thought we had found them all, there were more. With the assistance of the Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Office and the Tuscarawas County Dog Pound, Humane Agent, Shelter Director, and Kennel Manager safely removed 32 dogs from what can only be described as a house of horrors.
