Amanda Bradley: Virtual Artist Talk
Photographer Amanda Bradley will share her influences, processes and inspiration in conjunction with her exhibition, "Notations from home," currently on view at Rosewood Arts Center, 2655 Olson Drive, Kettering OH. Bradley will speak about her work in a live event on October 6th from 12pm - 1pm followed by a Q and A. "Notations from home" is an ongoing body of work and archive that uses photography as a language, where the camera becomes a tool for note-taking, discovery, questioning, and relationship building. The images make visible the sentiments of belonging and notions of home through a long view of landscape across geographies and time. Growing up between Miami and Belize, Bradley has been anchored at the intersection of diaspora, migration, and memory, with photography allowing her to build connections. "Notations from home" is part of the 2026 FotoFocus Biennial: "The Long View." Now in its eighth iteration, the Biennial activates over 70 exhibitions at museums, galleries, universities, and public spaces throughout Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Northern Kentucky in October 2026. Support for this 2026 FotoFocus Biennial exhibition and event was provided in part by FotoFocus. This artist talk is organized by the Rosewood Arts Center and is presented in conjunction with Bradley's exhibition. This event will be recorded and available following the live event.
