Just a few miles from where you live, one of the rarest ecosystems on the planet is quietly disappearing - and most of us drive past it without ever knowing its real significance. The Oak Openings Region holds a higher concentration of rare and endangered plants and animals than anywhere else in Ohio, and like so many irreplaceable places, it is shrinking. Join us for Homegrown Habitat: Native Plants, Your Backyard and the Oak Openings Region, an enlightening Community Conversation featuring: Susan and Jon Cross, authors, native plant advocates Todd Crail, PhD, University of Toledo Environmental Sciences Learn what makes this region invaluable, what's putting it at risk, and most importantly, what you can do about it. 6pm - Doors open - Explore information tables, native plant sale and enjoy small bites7pm - Program + Q&A
