47th Annual Fall Hike
Join us for our Annual Fall Hike! Join Naturalist Nicole at 9:30am for a quick 30-minute warm up for your mind before the big hike. Practice being mindful in nature next to the lake shore near the shelter house. Take away techniques to use on this hike and others. You may choose to enjoy at your own pace or take the guided hike which starts at 10:00am. It is a 3.2-mile intermediate hike along the Furnace Trail takes you through autumn's changing hues along the edge of the lake and brings you out at the historic Iron Furnace where you will find soup beans from the Friends of Lake Hope cooking over an open fire. A shuttle service will then transport you back to your vehicle near the starting point. For question please call the Nature Center at 740-596-3030. Recreation programs and activities can be inherently dangerous. Participants accept and acknowledge that any injury or property damage that occurs during a program or activity is not the responsibility of ODNR or its naturalist educators. Facebook
