Community Open Studio: Abstract Painting Workshop

Community Open Studio - Abstract Painting Workshop - Fill out form We will begin with a viewing of our current exhibitions for inspiration, specifically the John Sabraw Telluric exhibition, followed by a brief discussion. The workshop will take place in our 2nd-floor art studios. Led by abstract painter, mixed-media artist, and educator Mateo Galvano, whose visual language includes pure abstraction, abstract figures, and landscapes, we will work and play with a range of materials to explore mark-making, color, composition, and atmosphere. No prior experience is necessary for this all-levels workshop. Making art with others builds shared connection, reduces stress, and fosters empathy. Participants of all ages are welcome. Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult. This is a free event. Materials are generously provided by the Ohio Arts Council.
