"Cardioneuroablation: A New Treatment for Vasovagal Syncope" Objectives: • Differentiate the mechanisms of syncope: Explain the pathophysiology and clinical classification of vasovagal syncope (cardioinhibitory, vasodepressor, and mixed) and distinguish reflex syncope from other cardiac and non-cardiac etiologies. • Understand the anatomic and physiologic rationale for CNA: Describe how radiofrequency catheter ablation targets parasympathetic ganglionated plexi in atrial tissue to attenuate excessive vagal tone and prevent severe bradycardia or asystole. • Identify appropriate clinical candidates for CNA: Recognize patient profiles- such as young individuals with refractory cardioinhibitory vasovagal syncope, functional AV block, or atropine-responsive sinus node dysfunction- who may benefit from cardioneuroablation.
