Such A Night: The Last Waltz Live
Join more than 25 of Dayton's most talented musicians for SUCH A NIGHT: THE LAST WALTZ LIVE, a Thanksgiving tradition and celebration of the music of The Band. For more than a decade, SUCH A NIGHT: THE LAST WALTZ LIVE has brought local musicians together for one of the must-see concerts of the season. On Nov. 25, 1976, one of rock 'n' roll's most influential groups, The Band, performed its final concert. The historic event was captured by director Martin Scorsese and immortalized in the acclaimed film, The Last Waltz. Widely regarded as one of the greatest concert films ever made, The Last Waltz featured The Band alongside an extraordinary lineup of guest artists, including Dr. John, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Neil Diamond, Van Morrison, Emmylou Harris, Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. Now, 50 years later, Dayton's own musicians will recreate this seminal moment in music history, bringing the songs, spirit, and unforgettable performances of The Last Waltz to the Victoria Theatre for a night of music, community, and celebration. Proceeds from this year's performance will support the greater Dayton community and benefit WYSO Public Radio.
