Holocaust Speaker Event

Upper Sandusky Community Library Join the Upper Sandusky Community Library for a special presentation in conjunction with the Americans and the Holocaust traveling exhibition. Melissa W. Hunter will tell the story of her grandmother, Holocaust survivor Sala Werthaiser, who was forced, along with her family, into the Olkusz Ghetto. Sala was later deported to Auschwitz and survived six other concentration camps before being liberated in 1945. Hunter, a writer and blogger from Cincinnati, wrote a novel inspired by her grandmother's life. The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. On Thursday, Sept. 24 at Trinity Evangelical Church, 108 Malabar Drive. Location directions: This program will take place in the Family Life Center.
