A Taste of Latin Heritage is a four-part series that meets on Tuesdays over the course of four weeks. Participants must be able to attend all four sessions , as the program is designed to be completed as a series. Registered participants will receive a workbook, which will be used throughout the program. Developed by Oldways, this curriculum celebrates the traditional eating patterns (or "diet") of our ancestors, indigenous people and immigrants whose food traditions shaped the culinary landscape of the four regions of Latin America: Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Participants explore the major food groups of the Pyramid while learning healthy eating habits with simple, delicious recipes based in the foods and flavors of Latin American heritage. Each lesson is based on a different plant-based food group in the culinary traditions of the various people and regions of Latin America. Please bring a container for possible leftovers. Only one registration per person is permitted. If you need to register a second person, you may use the same email but the registration MUST be in their own name. Registrations under duplicate names will be canceled. After registering, please check your email for more important information about Culinary Literacy Center policies. Age Level: Adults Skill Level: Beginner Allergies/Accommodation: After registering, please call (330) 333-7781 if you have allergies or require accommodation.
