Undergraduate Research Summer Learning Community
Running Wednesdays June 3 through July 22 from 9:30-11am on the Walter C. Langsam Library's 4th floor, the Undergraduate Research Summer Learning Community provides an opportunity for students from diverse disciplines to learn from one another while exploring topics related to research collaboration, communication and ethical codes of conduct. From these experiences, participants will build professional skills to support them through their research program. Undergraduate student researchers are the primary audience, and all majors are welcome. Community meetings are hosted by a team of UC faculty, staff and graduate students. Each meeting has a central theme and a lead facilitator who organizes discussion topics and activities. Co-facilitators assist the lead facilitator and guide small group activities. Topics covered will include: Mentorship as Collaborative Practice Research Ethics Responsible Data Stewardship Understanding Ownership of Your Work Research Methods and more... The Undergraduate Research Summer Learning Community is free and open to all to attend. Registration is requested. The RDS team provides innovative and effective research collaboration by engaging researchers in consultation, assistance, and training that aims to amplify the global UC research profile.
