Trent Davis Bailey: Narrative Photobook Workshop

As a part of the FotoFocus Biennial exhibition at Rosewood Arts Center, photographer Trent Davis Bailey will lead a photobook workshop discussing ideas on layout, sequence, and design, followed by a narrative editing session focusing on how sequencing shapes meaning. Participants will learn how to approach photographic projects holistically, analyzing the associative properties between photographs and gaining skills to analyze each individual photograph in service of the larger body of work. Bailey's exhibition, "The North Fork," is currently on display in the Kettering Health Art Gallery at Rosewood Arts Center through November 7, 2026. In "The North Fork," Bailey intertwines childhood memories with images and moments from family farms on Colorado's Western Slope. "The North Fork" comes from the name locals use to broadly describe the agrarian valley in which they live, which is situated on Colorado's Western Slope and irrigated by the North Fork of the Gunnison River. About the artist: Trent Davis Bailey is an American artist and photographer born and based in Colorado. His work has been exhibited and published nationally and internationally and is held in the permanent collections of the Denver Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP).
