How to Do Research: The What, Why and How of Research Thursday, September 24, 4-5 p.m., online What does the research process look like from start to finish? This workshop will introduce graduate students to different types of data, the goals of the research process and key stages of conducting research. Participants will also learn how UC Libraries Research & Data Services can support them throughout the research process. A Q&A will follow the presentation. This workshop is part of a monthly series presented by UC Libraries in partnership with the Graduate College. Presenter: Tiffany J. Grant, PhD, Assistant Director of Academic and Research Engagement, Research & Data Services, UC Libraries Presenter Bio: Tiffany J. Grant, PhD, is the Assistant Director of Academic and Research Engagement at the University of Cincinnati Libraries, where she co-leads the Research & Data Services Unit and directs the UC UPRISE Program, which supports undergraduate research in science and engineering. She holds a BS in Chemistry from Dillard University and a PhD in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine from the University of Cincinnati, along with graduate certifications in Clinical and Translational Research and Healthcare Administration. Her work combines expertise in biomedical research, bioinformatics and research data services, and she provides strategic leadership for research support services across the university.
